I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! delivered some intense moments as one celeb was seriously tested in the latest trial.
The hit ITV series graced our screens again on Thursday (November 21), with Ant and Dec steering the ship, ready to see how the celebs were faring in the wilds of Australia.
In the most recent episode, it was BBC Radio 1’s Dean McCullough’s turn to brave the Bushtucker Trial named Lethal Lab. He arrived at what looked like a jungle lab, where Ant and Dec laid out the challenge for him.
He had to kick things off in the experimentation zone, where he had 2 minutes to mix a green liquid with a clear one to cause a reaction, all for the chance to win 2 stars. After that, he’d face 7 different containment areas, each with stars up for grabs including a double-star final area, reports the Express.
Dean quipped, “I like to overpromise and underdeliver,” aiming low with hopes for just one star. Despite the pressure, he successfully completed the first task while wearing goggles and gloves filled with green ants, though he remarked: “This is not looking good boys.”
He bagged 2 stars and proceeded to the containment challenges. However, Dean wasn’t alone in these sections; he was accompanied by creatures such as cockroaches, crickets, mealworms, giant lizards, snakes, and spiders.
He managed to secure another two stars, but as he approached the fifth containment area, Dean admitted he’d rather stay in the dark about his creepy-crawly companions.
And when fish guts rained down in the trial, Dean couldn’t handle it and promptly yelled: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” Freed from the ordeal, Dean was content with snagging 4 stars for camp and made his way back to inform his campmates of the result.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues nightly at 9pm on ITV1, STV and ITVX
