Amazon has dropped the price of a “magic” garden gadget to get patios and driveways back to looking their best after winter.
The Bosch EasyAquatak 110 High Pressure Washer has been reduced from £89.99 down to £67 in a limited time deal, and promises to deliver “quick and effortless” cleaning with its high-pressure hose. Equipped with simple push-fit connections for an easy set up, it has adjustable power levels as well as swappable nozzles to ensure a thorough clean of any paved or decked areas as well as the likes of walls and fences.
Also available for the same price from B&Q, the pressure washer has a portable design and weighs just 4kg for easy transportation and storage, with the trusted brand vowing that it “makes light work of your outdoor cleaning tasks”. It can also be filled with detergent, ideal for other jobs such as washing the car, getting your bike sparkling, or cleaning out wheelie bins.
According to Checkatrade, the average cost of getting a small driveway pressure washed by a professional is £250, so if you regularly enlist the help of a tradesperson to clean your paving then investing in this pressure washer will pay for itself almost four times over with just one use. And the Bosch model comes approved by thousands of Amazon shoppers, with an average rating of 4.5 out of five stars based on more than 12,000 reviews.
One person praised: “Just moved and couldn’t wait to clean the filthy patio. Simply attached the hosepipe, got an extension cord, connected the nozzle, and off I went over every slab. From out the box to job done in an hour. Delighted.”
Another reviewer fed back: “We had some thick moss and dirt on the path and steps. This machine obliterated the dirt and moss with ease. Haven’t used all attachments yet but this thing is great – excellent quality, very powerful, small and compact.”
A third Amazon shopper said: “This pressure washer turned out to be a game-changer for us. Our porch and patio had been overrun with stubborn weeds that were a nightmare to remove manually. Every time we tried, it felt like an endless, back-breaking chore with minimal results. But then we decided to give the Bosch pressure washer a shot, and it was absolutely worth it.
“If you’re facing a similar situation, I highly recommend this Bosch pressure washer. It’s a reliable tool that made what seemed like an impossible task manageable, and the results are truly satisfying,” they added.
And someone else wrote: “It’s really easy to use and does a great job. Driveway, garden slabs, fascias and even the minging conservatory roof are all now looking so much better. It takes a bit of time but it’s so satisfying.”
Overall, 90% of customers who left reviews for the gadget have given it a rating of either four or the full five stars. However, the most common complaint was that the instructions included were “not helpful”, while some others said that some of the parts were “too short”.
One reviewer commented: “The unit works fine and washes as expected of a pressure washer, however it is very difficult to use effectively because the cable and the hose are much too short.”
Elsewhere on the market, another popular choice is the Kärcher K2 Power Control Home Pressure Washer, currently available for £119.99 reduced from £149.99 on Amazon as well as for £120 at Wickes or £125 at B&Q. Read what shoppers had to say about it last summer here.
