Hundreds of Amazon shoppers have been trying to get their hands on a Ninja slow cooker that has been described as “great piece of kitchen equipment”.
The 8L Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker has eight functions. These include slow cook (up to 12 hours), sear/sauté, steam, braise, simmer, bake, prove and keep warm.
The product description says: “The removable non-stick cooking pot is oven-safe up to 260°C and doubles as a serving dish. Dishwasher safe cooking pot and lid for easy clean-up.
“Cook up to eight portions with 8L capacity. Designed to do it all, make everything from chilli, stews and slow-cooked pot roasts to tear-and-share bread, cakes and poached fruit.”
More than 1,000 of these appliances have been bought in the past month on Amazon. It is now available for £129.99, reduced 19% from the RRP of £159.99.

The cooker has an overall rating of 4.7 out of 5 on the retailer’s website. And 85% of shoppers gave it five stars.
One said: “This cooker from Ninja is a top notch, nice controls, nonstick bowl makes cleaning so easy as food do not stick and it has great power to cook in the shortest time. I mainly use this to cook rice and does it easily within 20 minutes and somehow maintains the food nutrients and taste with great aroma.
“The bowl is large enough to fit the whole family and even friends and the operation is sensible. It’s very versatile with many functions, cooking any dish is possible if you know what you are doing. I have not yet tried many of other functions but the build and look is of quality and absolutely worth the price. The user manual is straight forward with recipes for some nice yet to try meals. I highly recommend.”
Another reviewer wrote: “This cooker is excellent, well built with easy to understand controls and settings, cooked food very well. Makes a great addition to my ninja cooking Appliances.” One commented: “Best machine you can buy for your kitchen! For cooking meat nice and slow or an easy dinner, braising meat or something as simple as onions for hot dogs and it keeps them warm! Had other slow cookers but this is definitely the best one!”
A fourth review said: “This is yet again another fabulous product from Ninja. It’s large but not too cumbersome and heavy as some larger ceramic slow cookers. It’s great to be able to sauté in it and then assemble rest of ingredients. Love it!”
And another added: “Great piece of kitchen equipment. Very substantial, excellent quality, so much more than a slow cooker. Got on offer and it’s worth every penny. Made soups, bolognese still to use for a bake but so far it’s excellent. It is very large but it stylish. Easy clean, easy to use and like the fact your can remove the dish which can also go in the oven. Amazing.”
Not all customers were impressed though. One said: “I was thrilled to receive this after watching lots of reviews. I quickly figured out, that it didn’t do half of what it said, such as cooking bread which it only proved and then had to go in the oven and only flat breads like focaccia. It was extremely slow taking hours to heat up and then practically boiling all the liquid away. I returned it.”
