Amazon shoppers have been rushing to buy a George Foreman grill that has been described as “great quality as ever”.
The George Foreman Large Electric Fit Grill has been bought more than 2,000 times from Amazon in the past month. It is now on offer for £38.99, reduced 51% from £79.99.
According to the product description, you can “cook your favourite dishes, quicker than ever” and you can go “from switch on to plate in under 6 minutes vs’ conventional electric oven grill set at 230 degrees”. It’s also easier to clean compared to an electric oven, the website says.
The appliance includes a clip-in drip tray. “With George Foreman’s Clip-in Drip Tray, you can sit back and know the excess fat and other residue is collected for you, in one convenient place that can be easily cleaned,” the description adds.
The grill has an overall rating of 4.6 out of 5, with many shoppers praising the kitchen appliance. One wrote: “Great quality as ever,” while another added: “Worth every penny. Made my life easier, and very easy to clean.”

A third reviewer said: “Excellent product. This George Foreman toaster is perfection. No cutting off the crusts easily takes 2 full sandwiches, and or nearly any meat portions cooked to your own perfection. It is VERY easy to clean, if needed as well. The ‘ drip tray ‘ is also perfect for the job required.
“The only advice I would give as a warning, is to not only to switch the power supply off, BUT, also to unplug it from the socket. Enjoy life.”
And another comment read: “Perfect for lots of food including toasted sandwiches, omelettes, chicken, mushrooms. Used it such a lot. Shame it doesn’t have a handle to lift up the lid because I burnt my finger, otherwise great! Easy to store on it’s side, easy to wipe down with a damp paper towel. Thoroughly recommend.”
Not all customers were pleased with their purchase. One said: “Not as good as expected. My previous George foreman grill was excellent. But this one takes ages to cook things. Which means it’s costing a lot to use. It also makes lots of clicking sounds when it cooks. Can’t recommend this time.”
Another wrote: “I bought this for grilling however this is more a sandwich maker than a grill. Heavy and hard to move around especially when you clean it. It does not come apart the only thing removes is the small tray underneath which is really hard go fit.”
