Amazon shoppers have been rushing to buy a duvet that has been branded the “best ever” in reviews for its light but snuggly feel perfect for getting a good night’s sleep all year round.
The Silentnight Soft As Silk Duvet promises to deliver “luxurious comfort” all night long thanks to its silky fibres that provide “supreme softness”, according to the bestselling brand. Finished off with a soft-touch cover for extra cosiness, the duvet is hypoallergenic and machine washable too.

Also on sale elsewhere online from the likes of Wayfair and Very, it has impressed shoppers with an average rating of 4.7 out of five stars based on more than 3,500 reviews on Amazon.
One person branded it “five-star hotel luxury”, adding: “Really good product – high quality and very light, warm and comfortable. The best quality quilt I have purchased for sure! Makes for a good night’s sleep.”
Another agreed: “After buying other quilts over the years I must say this one is the best I’ve ever had. It’s lovely and warm and yet so light. I give this top marks and have no problem in saying I certainly would recommend to buy.”
A third shopper said: “I bought a super king size and was expecting to pay considerably more. I was pleasantly surprised by both the price and the quality of the duvet. The duvet itself is not too heavy and about the right temperature to use all year round.”
And someone else wrote: “A huge soft pillowy duvet, which is what I wanted! If you want a cheaper duvet there are plenty around – BUT if you want quality snuggliness, this is the one.”
Others praised it as “incredibly fluffy” and compared it to “sleeping on a cloud”, with 79% of Amazon shoppers giving it the full five stars. But some reviewers complained about the sizing, with one feeding back: “I bought a double and it doesn’t fit into my double duvet cover very well.” And another said: “When in the cover there is a good space where the quilt doesn’t reach the end of the cover properly.”
