If you’re idea of a dream night out is to gather your best mates together, maybe grab an inflatable microphone, don some glow in the dark necklaces and belt out Whitney Houston and Celine Don classics like your performing at the Grammys, only it’s the middle of a town on a Saturday afternoon; a pop up club where you can do just that has confirmed its coming to Newcastle in 2025.
This year we have Vicky McLure’s Day Fever, a daytime clubbing event for the over 30s, sell out Boiler Shop in Newcastle city centre on numerous occasions, most recently last weekend for Christmas special Sleigh Fever, while just up the road at Digital, there have been a growing number of successful raves, with another in the diary for New Year’s Day.
And now, after its videos have been shared widely on Instagram and TikTok, The 30+ Club has confirmed it will make its first ever visit to the Toon next year, with it taking over NX on Westgate Road from 4.30-8.30pm on Saturday, February 15; meaning you can dance like no-one’s watching and sing your heart and still be home at a sensible hours, most likely with a takeaway in hand.
A description of The 30+ Club on its website reads: “Love to dance but can’t hack late nights? We’re reclaiming the dancefloor for the over 30s, with the music, the atmosphere and bedtime to suit those who’ve ‘still got it’.”
A glance at The 30+ Club Instagram reveals videos of people living their best lives belting out songs like Man I Feel Like A Woman, I Have Nothing and It’s All Coming Back to Me Now in the late afternoon on packed dancefloors. If that sounds like your cup of tea, tickets are now on sale HERE for the Newcastle date, priced £16.75 including fees.
