ASAP Rocky did not want ASAP Twelvyy to explain what the letters AWGE stood for when a lawyer asked during his testimony.
On Friday, the prosecution in Flacko’s trial presented a photo of the rapper’s bed with the letters AWGE stitched into the material and asked Twelvyy if he knew what the letters meant. Twelvyy said the word while Rocky told him, “Don’t say,” which baffled the lawyer and caused him to continue asking the same question.
“It means AWGE,” Twelvyy said, which upset the prosecuting lawyer and had him ask the judge to make the ASAP Mob member explain what the letters stood for. Twelvyy continued to do the opposite and was even asked if he heard Rocky say not to answer the question, which he denied, claiming he only heard a sound.
Twelvvy ended up leaving the stand, not explaining what AWGE meant. AWGE is the name of Rocky’s creative agency, which he founded in 2014. The company recorded several music videos, but nothing else is known about the entity. The AWGE website even states, “Rules: #1 Never reveal what AWGE means.”
During an interview with the New York Times from 2016, Rocky was tight-lipped when the topic eas brought up. “The first rule of AWGE is don’t ask questions about AWGE,” Rocky replied when asked what the letters mean. “No one needs to know what the letters stand for. We know what it is, and that’s how we want to keep it.”
Elsewhere in his testimony, Twelvyy claimed ASAP Relli was the aggressor in the night Rocky allegedly shot at him in Los Angeles. Twelvyy stated that he never saw Rocky point the gun at Relli despite the latter stating otherwise and claimed hearing Relli tell his former friend to “shoot that fake ass gun.”
