Asda has issued a warning over a George baby product and has urged families to “please stop using it immediately”.
The supermarket is recalling a George Home Baby Walker because it poses a choking risk. Shoppers who have bought the item or have it in their homes are being asked to return it to their nearest Asda store.
A refund will be given to those who bring the product back. You don’t need a receipt to return the walker.
The affected items have the following barcode – 5063089161265. Customers can also contact Asda if they have any questions about the recall.
Asda said: “We have found that in a small number of cases, this product may pose a risk of choking due to the potential release of the metal bar used to hold the mirror and balls in place. If you have purchased a George Home Baby Walker – barcode 5063089161265 – please stop using it immediately and bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a refund. You do not need your receipt.

Recently, a number of other products have been recalled by retailers over safety issues. This week, Sainsbury’s and Asda issued a recall of bread rolls due to concerns that a packaging error could pose a risk to customers with a specific allergy.
The recall pertains to a batch of McGhee’s Scottish Brown Rolls because of an undisclosed allergen. McGhee’s Family Bakers recalled the 6-pack Scottish Brown Rolls as several packs were found to contain white rolls, which include soya. Here are more details of that warning.

Elsewhere, a separate warning was issued over a food product sold at Farmfoods due to an allergy risk. David Wood Baking Ltd recalled Farmfoods 50 Cocktail Sausage Rolls because the pack contains cheese and onion rolls which contain milk. However this is not mentioned on the label.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents. The affected products have a pack size of 700g and the batch code is L4295. The best before date is October 2025. Here is more information.
