EastEnders fans were on the edge of their seats Tuesday evening as the show barrels towards its 40th-anniversary drama-packed week. Next week’s spoilers suggest that not everyone survives the Vic explosion, and a ‘huge clue’ in the latest episode has viewers convinced they’ve figured out who’s about to meet their demise.
During the episode, residents flocked to the Queen Vic to watch an old game-show starring Martin’s late father Arthur Fowler. Ruby Allen uncovered the nostalgic clip which also featured his mother Pauline. Fans now believe that the soap is hinting at Martin’s upcoming end. One viewer theorized: “I feel like the whole Martin foreshadowing is a red herring it’s becoming TOO obvious now.”

Another fan speculated: “It’s going to be Martin or Ruby. Maybe Martin dies and it triggers Stacey’s Bipolar so she has to get admitted whilst Lacey’s on maternity leave? #EastEnders” A third concurred, “Pretty much convinced that Martin is going to die,” while another fan hoped otherwise: “I don’t want Martin to he killed off cause he needs to grovel to Bianca for not believing her.”
Moreover, recent episodes seemed to drop more hints of Martin’s fate, particularly when Honey ironically ordered Death Throes shots to celebrate Martin getting his fruit and veg stall back. Since 1985, the character Martin Fowler has been a fixture in the soap, with James Bye bringing him to life since 2014, reports the Mirror.
