The One Show descended into chaos live on air as a famous guest swore twice and host Alex Jones suffered an outfit mishap.
Alex was joined by Vernon Kay on the iconic green sofa on Wednesday (February 12) evening and the pair welcomed Britain’s Got Talent duo Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly as well as Mickey 17 stars Naomi Ackie and Toni Collette to the show.
However, things took a slightly awkward turn early on. After the opening credits, as Alex and Vernon were teasing the upcoming segments for the audience, Alex’s earring decided to make a break for it, clattering onto the studio floor.
Addressing the viewers at home, Alex said: “My earring just fell out, sorry” while Vernon retrieved the errant jewellery piece for her. The pair maintained their composure like true pros and smoothly transitioned to Watchdog’s Matt Allwright for the latest news updates.

Later in the show, chaos ensued when Toni Collette showcased her unique toaster impression to Ant and Dec. Before demonstrating her quirky skill, Toni exclaimed: “S**t I can’t believe I’m doing this.”
prompting an immediate apology from hosts Vernon and Alex for her “potty mouth”. Toni couldn’t help but repeat the expletive, sending Ant, Dec, and Naomi into fits of laughter, reports Wales Online.
Citing “jet leg” as the culprit, Toni left viewers in stitches. Fans took to X, previously known as Twitter, to comment on the incident, with one writing: “Toni Collette swearing twice.”

Another chimed in: “Toni Collette! 2 s**ts in a minute.” A third humorously referenced one of Toni’s famous roles: “Toni Collette sweating on the BBC? You’re terrible, Muriel! “.
It comes after David Walliams left Alex gobsmacked during Tuesday’s (February 11) episode after dropping a cheeky gag about Labour leader Keir Starmer on live telly.
The Little Britain funnyman quipped: “I was at school with Keir Starmer, yeah. And he gave me a detention and it was Christmas time and it was really cold and he turned off the heating.”

The host, Alex, was visibly taken aback by the jest and momentarily lost for words. With a chuckle, David went on to clarify: “I did go to the same school as Keir Starmer, but actually, we didn’t meet each other.”
After an awkward pause, David threw in another celebrity name, saying: “And Fatboy Slim was there too. Yeah, he was yeah!”. He continued the banter, adding: “He was doing the DJing and Keir was being the Prime Minister, I was acting the giddy goat!”. Eager to steer the conversation elsewhere, Alex quickly shifted gears to a new subject.
