Ben Shephard jokingly scolded Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood on This Morning, after Craig after he accidentally spilled too much information. The 49 year old Tipping Point presenter and co-host Cat Deeley were deep in conversation with some of the stars lighting up panto stages this festive season with heaps of Christmas cheer.
First to join them was their fashion guru Gok Wan, via video link, dazzling in his pantomime costume alongside Paul Chuckle. There were a lot of giggles between the foursome. Cat, no stranger to the panto scene, noticed an unusual addition to Peter Pan — a Merman role tailored for Gok. A blushing Gok cheekily remarked, “I’m not saying I’ve been shoehorned in but I’ve definitely been given a presence on stage,” prompting applause from Cat and Ben who were keen to hear Gok’s solo piece.
Gok happily obliged, bursting into song to the delight of his hosts. Next up was Strictly’s toughest judge Craig, who also was in full get up and videoing in for the on-air chat.
As the trio got acquainted on all things Panto, they were mid conversation about Craig’s role in Peter Pan at the Milton Keynes Theatre as the wicked Captain Hook when he accidentally let slip more information than Ben had hoped, reports the Mirror.
Cat said the best thing about having a role in the Panto was “playing the role of the baddie.” Craig spilled: “I say, it’s the only part to have. I love coming on and upsetting people, it’s my favourite thing to do at Christmas and it keeps me off the streets.
“I love the booing, I love the whole sense of theatre about it, I love the dark and sinister side of it all, it’s great. But it’s also a lot of fun die and I get my comeuppance in the end and I get eaten by the crocodile, which is a little sad.” Ben responded: “No spoilers, come on Craig.” As the famous judge asked: “What’s that?” With the host repeating: “No spoilers, you just ruined the end for me.”
The BBC One star responded telling him: “Oh well I might come back to life,” sending Cat and Ben into fits of laughter.
