Biggest Liam Payne bombshells as TMZ’s controversial documentary on singer’s death airs

A new documentary delving into the tragic death of One Direction star Liam Payne has left fans reeling with its shocking revelations. The documentary, titled TMZ Presents: Liam Payne: Who’s to Blame? premiered on Monday 16 December and was labelled as “invasive” by stunned viewers, many of whom felt it was too soon to air given that an investigation into Liam’s untimely death is still underway.

The 31 year old singer tragically lost his life after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 16 October. A report from the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office revealed that traces of “alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressants” were found in Liam’s system. Officials have ruled out suicide, stating that “in the state he was in, he did not know what he was doing and could not understand it.” Five individuals are currently under formal investigation in relation to Liam’s death, some of whom shockingly appear in the controversial TMZ documentary.

Roger Nores has spoken about spending time with Liam prior to his death

Despite being one of the five individuals under investigation by Argentinian authorities for potentially abandoning Liam, Roger Nores, an Argentinian businessman, speaks on camera in the TMZ feature about his final hours with Liam. He controversially claimed that Liam was “in good spirits” and “perfectly balanced” on that day, contradicting widespread speculation suggested by previous accounts.

Despite Roger’s assertions, there have been reports suggesting that Liam was inebriated and causing a disturbance shortly before his tragic death. An incident reportedly escalated to the point where a hotel employee felt the need to call emergency services prior to the star’s fall, reports the Mirror.

In the documentary, Roger defended his late friend, stating: “I’m a very good friend of Liam, and I was with him the day that he passed away. He was in good spirits. He was like talking to 10 or 15 Americans that were here for a wedding. And so he was talking to them, and he was joking around.”

Roger also denied allegations that he abandoned his late friend, insisting: “I went to a hotel three times to check on him. During that morning, he seemed tipsy, but nothing out of the ordinary.”

In Argentina, one of the individuals who was with Liam has been charged with “abandonment of a person followed by death” – a crime that could result in up to 15 years in prison. The TMZ feature also includes an interview with a hotel guest, Bret Watson, who witnessed Liam’s fatal fall and is now “haunted” by the scene.

Bret described the chilling moment: “We happened to be looking out of the window of our hotel at the pool area to show her [a wedding planner] the view from the hotel. We saw Liam fall… and so we immediately rushed out on the balcony to see what it was and when we looked down we could see that it was Liam laying on the ground.”

Bret heartbreakingly shared in the documentary his realisation of the One Direction star’s instant death, saying, “The wedding planner and I looked at each other like ‘oh my God, this is real, this actually happened’.”

He further revealed how the tragic incident remained a “heartbreaking” and “haunting” memory that he can’t seem to shake.

In an explosive twist, waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz admitted to using drugs with singer Liam before his untimely demise but fiercely denied any accusations of selling them. The 24 year old, currently under scrutiny by Argentine officials and featuring in TMZ’s contentious docu-series, claimed past nights were spent binging on cocaine and whiskey after meeting Liam at the restaurant where he worked.

Despite being arrested for drug distribution and incitement charges, Braian passionately dismissed any involvement in Liam’s passing. Speaking to TMZ, Braian denied allegations of dealing drugs or receiving lavish gifts like Rolex watches in exchange for drugs.

“They say I’m the dealer, that I carry drugs, that I sold them and the truth is that no, no I didn’t sell them,” he insisted on film.

In a candid revelation, Braian admitted to sharing drugs with Liam on their first meeting, saying, “Yeah, there was. There was cocaine – there wasn’t even a lot of it but we had some with whiskey… The second night too. The soap box and some aluminum foil was already there – drugs scattered everywhere.”

He also disclosed that he declined a lavish gift from the One Direction star: “I didn’t accept it. I didn’t accept anything just a drawing that he drew which were part of my eyes, nose mouth.”
