It’s a restaurant that has seen its food and drink posted all over Instagram over the last few years and now Blacks Corner is arriving in Newcastle for the first time, with it moving into a famous city centre location.
Blacks Corner has a great reputation for serving up top notch food and drink, with its charcuterie boards the stuff of culinary dreams and best washed down with a nice glass of wine or two. And now, having had diners flocking to its original home and East Boldon and then to its second venue at the Tram Shed in Seaburn, Blacks Corner has announced that it is coming to famous Newcastle department store Fenwick.
The Northumberland Street institution is famous for its collaborations with successful local businesses, with a Mother Mercy cocktail bar, Barbour cafe and Greggs champagne bar and it will now welcome its own branch of Blacks Corner, with the news broken on social media on Thursday evening.
Very excited to welcome its highly rated new tenant, Fenwick posted: “Blacks Corner is coming to Fenwick Newcastle! Known for their British farmhouse cheeses and charcuterie, we are very excited to announce that Blacks Corner is bringing their much-loved flavours to Fenwick Newcastle.”
The opening date for Blacks Corner at Fenwick is very timely, with it revealed that it will welcome its first customers next, Friday, February 14, which just so happens to be Valentine’s Day. Reservations are live now from the Fenwick website.
The reaction to the news, as you’d expect given Blacks Corner’s popularity, was massive, with one Instagram user replying: “Cannot wait for this” as a second commented: “Omg this is amazing news”
Blacks Corner will be open at Fenwick from 9am – 7pm Monday to Wednesday, 9-8pm on Thursdays Friday and Saturdays from 9-7pm and Sunday from 10.30-5pm.
