Boots has slashed prices on designer perfume just in time for Valentine’s Day gift hunters – including a “gorgeous” fragrance that many shoppers have declared their favourite.
Marc Jacobs Dot Eau de Parfum is the number one bestselling perfume in the high street retailer’s Valentine’s gift section right now – and even better, it has been reduced from £74 down to £37 for a 50ml bottle, making it cheaper at Boots than at both Superdrug and The Perfume Shop.
The iconic floral scent has heart notes of jasmine, orange blossom and coconut water, accompanied by refreshing top notes of red berries, dragon fruit and honeysuckle and finished off with sophisticated base notes of vanilla, musk and driftwood. And with more than 300 reviews on the Boots website, it has earned a stellar average rating of 4.7 out of five stars.

One shopper raved: “This perfume smells wonderful, I have worn it every day since I purchased it. It smells so fresh and pretty and I have had numerous comments on it. The bottle is just stunning too!”
Another agreed: “Smells amazing and works for every occasion! Perfect for everyday use or saving for special occasions. The fragrance lasts really well on skin. My favourite perfume to date.”
A third reviewer said: “I love this fragrance so much that I have bought it again, it smells beautiful. Light, fresh, and lasts all day.”

Overall, 95% of Boots customers said they would recommend the perfume, although not everyone was a fan of the scent. One person said they thought it smelled “like cucumbers”, while another commented: “It’s my least favourite of all the Marc Jacobs fragrances.”
