Charlamagne Thinks Ye Is ‘Acting Out’ Because He’s ‘Envious of Kendrick’s Moment’

Following Kanye West’s latest breakdown on social media—in which he declared himself “a Nazi” and called for alleged sex trafficker Diddy to be freed—Charlamagne Tha God suggested that he’s “acting out” because he’s jealous of Kendrick Lamar.

“You know, if he wants to ride for Diddy… Nothing wrong with that, that’s on him,” said Charlamagne on The Breakfast Club, as seen above around the 3:30 point. “But we do realize Kanye has been acting out all week because he’s envious of Kendrick’s moment, right?” Jess Hilarious brought up that Ye recently claimed he was diagnosed with autism, which Charlamagne said was another cry for attention.

“That’s just attention seeking, he’s doing that because he’s envious of Kendrick’s moment,” he continued. “He wishes this was him, because Kendrick is having a moment for being a prolific artist who took out his number one opp, Drake. Kanye wishes that was him in this moment, so he’s been doing all these antics for attention all week because he’s trying to get people to do exactly what they’re doing right now, and that’s talking about him. But Kanye, that is a sideshow compared to what Kendrick did on Sunday at the Grammys and what Kendrick is going to do this Sunday at the Super Bowl.”

Jess Hilarious joked that Ye, who went to the Grammys red carpet with his wife Bianca Censori in a completely see-through dress, “brought a raw chicken wing on the red carpet.” She added that she thinks Ye and Censori’s relationship must be “cheap” because of how little clothing she appears to wear in public.

“You using the right word,” Charlamagne said. “All these antics are cheap, meanwhile you got people on that stage being rewarded for their art the way that you used to, Kanye. Kendrick Lamar got rewarded five times for a diss record to your number one opp, you wish that was you. … We don’t care, Kanye. … I don’t care that you’re a billionaire, there’s plenty of corny-ass billionaires.”

Ye has embraced antisemitism once again in his latest posts on X, formerly Twitter. He straight-up tweeted that he was “a Nazi” and repeatedly used the f-slur. He also called for Donald Trump to release his “brother” Diddy, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by a staggering amount of people in lawsuits. In one tweet, he wrote, “I stood up for Puff and I’m still winning 20 Grammies next year and doing the Super Bowl.” Somehow, that doesn’t seem likely.

Kendrick Lamar, meanwhile, swept at the Grammys on Sunday and picked up awards for all five categories he was nominated in, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year. At the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 9, he will be the first solo hip-hop artist to headline the Halftime Show.
