The curtains have closed on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and while the jungle has crowned its king, another celeb is returning home to a huge show of support – including from one surprising individual. Coleen Rooney, who came in second place to McFly’s Danny Jones, may not have won the title of Queen of the Jungle, but it seems she’s won something else – a potential peace offering from her rival Rebekah Vardy.
The two WAGs have been at odds since the infamous Wagatha Christie trial in 2022, but Rebekah’s recent public message for Coleen suggests a thawing of their frosty relationship. Rebekah, who has been penning a column for The Sun about the reality show, surprised fans by sharing a supportive message for Coleen after the finale.

Dressed in a dark jumper with her hair up, Rebekah said that Coleen has “had a fab series”, adding that she had “really done well” and should feel “proud” as she returns to her family, Wayne Rooney and their four boys. With a coy smile, Rebekah addressed the audience: “I know you’re all waiting for me to say something else, but I’m sorry to disappoint. It’s just not happening. It’s really, really time to move on and end the year with a positive.”
In a video shared on The Sun’s website, Rebekah also expressed her love for Reverend Richard Coles, who finished third, calling him her “absolute favourite campmate of all time”. She added that she hopes his friendship with GK Barry continues off-screen as she “loved” watching it unfold, reports the Mirror.
The drama between Rebekah and Coleen escalated in 2019 when Coleen accused Rebekah on X (formerly Twitter) of leaking stories from her private Instagram to The Sun. This led to Rebekah suing Coleen for libel, culminating in a high-profile trial in London in May 2022.

The court ruled in favour of Coleen, with the judge saying that it was “likely” that Rebekah’s agent at the time, Caroline Watt, “undertook the direct act” of passing the information to The Sun, and labelled Rebekah’s evidence “manifestly inconsistent” with other evidence heard by the court. Despite this, Rebekah appears ready to leave the past behind.
Rebekah shared her thoughts on Danny’s victory, stating that the musician was “born for this” and she admired how he “just got on with it” without any complaints. She commended his vulnerability and his ability to lend an ear during others’ times of need, adding that it was evident “how much it meant to him when he won”.
