Drake Responds to DJ Khaled Saying They Have Songs Together on New Album: ‘Must Be Drake Bell’

Drake has seemingly pulled the plug on his alleged pair of guest features on DJ Khaled‘s upcoming album Aalam of God.

On Tuesday, Khaled shared a new cinematic trailer starring Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Ramos to announce his fourteenth studio album, and in it, Wahlberg claimed the We The Best boss has “two new Drake songs” on the project. Fans were naturally ecstatic over the news, but it seems they won’t get their wish as Drizzy stopped all the commotion with some petty clarity.

In the comment section of Khaled’s Instagram post of the album trailer, the 6 God left a subtle message referencing actor Drake Bell that read, “Must be @drakebell” with the face without a mouth emoji attached. Khaled then deleted the post after Drake posted his message.

It’s unclear why Drake shot down Khaled’s claim, but it happened at a time when fans believed the hip-hop community had turned its back on the Toronto megastar following his vicious rap battle with Kendrick Lamar last Spring. Khaled hasn’t spoken about the beef or picked a side, so who knows why Drake claimed his frequent collaborator doesn’t have a new set of verses from him this time around.

These two have worked together several times in the past, resulting in straight anthems. Drake has shown up on seven out of 13 DJ Khaled albums throughout his career, and he even had a short streak of being featured in two songs on the last two albums, Khaled Khaled and God Did.

Khaled also hinted that he may have another “fucking 100-bar verse” from Jay-Z and a potential Rihanna collaboration on Aalam of God, but the status of those features is unclear as of press time.
