Dunelm shoppers have been rushing to buy a “gorgeous” bedding set that has earned rave reviews thanks to its timeless and trendy look.
The high street homeware giant showed off its Portloe Woven Gingham Duvet Cover & Pillowcase Set over on TikTok, where it quickly racked up tens of thousands of views thanks to its eye-catching yet classic design perfect for giving your home a spring refresh. Priced between £30 and £50, the set has been a shopper favourite ever since it landed in stock, and now comes in a selection of new colours as part of Dunelm’s latest spring collection.
Available in single to super king size with eight shades to choose from including green, ochre yellow, mulberry pink, lilac and Folkestone blue, Dunelm promises that the Portloe Set delivers on comfort as well as style, vowing its 100% washed cotton fabric is “sumptuously soft” and provides “luxurious comfort”. And it has certainly turned heads on social media, with TikTok users branding it a “dream set” and saying it was “going on their wish list” of must-have home décor.

And the bedding has earned plenty of praise from shoppers who have snapped it up too, with an average rating of 4.5 out of five stars based on nearly 200 reviews. One person raved alongside a five-star rating: “Absolutely loved this bed set, so crisp looking with a relaxing and charming feel to it.”
Another Dunelm shopper agreed: “Superb quality cotton duvet set. Great colours to choose from. We decided on the green, it’s a lovely welcoming colour. The quality of the set cannot be faulted, very well made, it washes up perfectly. We are so pleased we are going to buy the same set in another colour.”
A third reviewer said: “The duvet cover feels just lovely to sleep under and when the bedding was changed a week later it felt and looked as fresh as when I first put it on the bed. It has washed really well and is ready to go back on the bed. I love the design and colour too.”
And someone else wrote: “This is a lovely fresh-looking duvet set, and very neutral so easy to personalise with different colour throws and cushions.”
While 80% of Dunelm shoppers so far have awarded the Portloe Bedding the full five-star rating, some said they were less impressed by its quality. One person fed back: “Not very well made – seams are coming undone on the pillowcases and the duvet cover,” with a few others complaining of the same issue.
And another reviewer remarked: “Colour is great but it’s a shame about the quality. I found it very thin and about four inches too big all round.”
