Newcastle United are making the final preparations for the last Premier League game at St James’ Park this weekend, with plenty still at stake. The Magpies know maximum points from their remaining three games will see them claim at least sixth place in table and place in Europe next season.
However, with two away games to come at Manchester United and Brentford, they must keep their recent good form going by beating Brighton on home turf this weekend. The Seagulls have not hit the same heights they achieve last term, but showed what they are capable of by defeating Champions League contenders Aston Villa last week.
United head coach Eddie Howe has some selection decisions this weekend, with Joelinton, Nick Pope and Miguel Almiron all returning to the squad at Burnley.
