James Hooton, who portrays Sam Dingle, shared his excitement about being involved in the storyline. “When I first read these scenes, I was really pleased to be a part of it. Sam is quite often there for the light relief so when the atmosphere goes dark it’s good to have that release of someone lighter and more comedic on hand,” he commented.

He expressed feeling “honoured” to participate and praised the design team’s incredible work at the Emmerdale car park. Hinting at the outcome, James couldn’t contain his enthusiasm about the audience’s reaction, saying, “The way they got the limo to sink into the ice was amazing and some of the action as it goes down is truly distressing. I would not want to be stuck under that ice. Or was I? ” leaving fans to wonder if his character might be the unlucky one.

Emmerdale’s Will Ash, known for his role as Caleb Milligan on the show, has opened up about being ‘left hurt in real life’ after performing his own stunts during filming. Chatting exclusively with the Mirror prior to the hotly-anticipated episodes airing, Will shared details on the intense fight scenes involving his character and Cain, saying: “It kicks off massively. I hurt myself filming it. I was hitting a bag and was going for it and I managed to hurt myself but I didn’t have to go to hospital.” This drama unfolds as Caleb discovers Cain’s secret liaison with his wife Ruby.

Off-screen, the dynamic between Will and co-star Jeff Hordley is far from tense. Describing their real-life camaraderie, Will explained: “I’ve known Jeff for 35 years so to get to work with him and play his brother has been a great thing. We used to do plays together when we were just starting out. It feels very brotherly, it’s very easy,” Will gushed about their friendship.
