A new TikTok trend has made Fetty Wap one of the most popular rappers on the internet.
On the social media platform, users are wondering what would happen if the rapper’s 2016 hit song “Again” was played on a JBL portable speaker in unconventional scenarios.
For instance, what would the pilgrims do if someone pulled up to them and introduced them to Fetty Wap? What if Iron Man copied Captain America’s fighting style mid-fight while blasting Fetty Wap from a JBL Speaker? These are important questions that need to be answered.
The popularity of this new trend has brought Fetty Wap’s music back to the forefront. His song “Again,” which last charted in 2016, is now set to reenter the Billboard Hot 100 at #40.
While Fetty Wap’s music is blowing back up, he’s not able to fully experience its benefits. In May 2023, the rapper was sentenced to six years in prison for helping to run a drug ring in Long Island, NY.
Fans began speculating that he was getting released earlier this past week, but the rapper reposted on his Instagram story to let everyone know that he’s not free. “He’s not out yet. @fettywap1738 free you brother I love you!” reads the post he shared.
Fetty Wap is currently set to be released on March 13, 2027.
Last April,Fetty Wap gave fans an update on how prison is treating him. He shared an image on Instagram of him meeting someone in prison while giving a message of brotherhood in its caption.
“You never no [sic] where life a take you but you find some good ppl along the way,” Fetty Wap wrote in the caption. “I got a few homies I met during my time down that’s real stand up niggas .. my brudda Tay Banga da Prez & Da Mobsta 💯🤘🏾🤞🏾”
Fetty Wap’s last studio album, King Zoo, came out in 2023.
