First look at Holly Willoughby’s new Netflix show where Bear Grylls hunts celebrities

Netflix has shared a first look at Holly Willoughby‘s new reality show – the former This Morning star’s first project with the streamer. Hosted by Holly, Celebrity Bear Hunt sees adventurer Bear Grylls attempt to track down the show’s famous contestants, who must avoid capture by him in the Central American jungle.

In the first pictures from the upcoming series, Holly can be seen standing in the jungle in a fittingly camouflage outfit and hiking boots, while in another, she is leaning out of an open helicopter mid-flight. Other photos show Bear on a motorbike as well as what appears to be the celebrities’ jungle accommodation – an outdoor structure made from bamboo and other tropical materials.

Arriving on Netflix in February, Celebrity Bear Hunt is rumoured to feature stars such as TV presenter Steph McGovern, The Inbetweeners’ Joe Thomas, Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas, Spice Girls star Mel B and ex tennis professional Boris Becker. Teasing the series, Netflix said: “Holly Willoughby hosts this action-packed competition show that sees a group of unlikely celebrities dropped into the Central American jungle as prey for one of the world’s most fearsome predators – Bear Grylls.

“Bear believes there’s an action hero inside us all – even the celebs – but how strong is their will to survive? As Bear puts them through their paces, those who fail to impress will face the dreaded Bear Hunt – a brutal game of cat and mouse where they’ll be hunted down by Bear himself and, if captured, face elimination from the show.”

Shirley Ballas, Lottie Moss and Una Healy are among those rumoured to be taking part in the show

Other names rumoured to be taking part on the show are The Saturdays singer Una Healy, rugby player Danny Cipriani, Ted Lasso’s Kola Bokinni, internet personality Big Zuu, model Lottie Moss, Changing Rooms host Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen and model Leomie Anderson. A source told The Sun back in May: “Signing up Steph and Joe have made this one of the most diverse and unusual celebrity line up ever seen on a show like this.

“The dozen celebrities come from incredibly different backgrounds – whether it’s ballroom dancing, singing, sport or interior design. They’ll each bring something to the mix. None of the choices are obvious – particularly not Steph and Joe, neither of whom have been on our screens in some time.”

Celebrity Bear Hunt marks one of Holly’s new projects since leaving This Morning and her terrifying kidnap ordeal last year. Earlier this month, a source told OK! that Holly was looking forward to move on with her career. “Holly can’t wait for 2025 and to finally put everything behind her,” a source said. “It’s been quite a hellish year, what with the Gavin Plumber trial and the ongoing fallout with Phil but she is starting to feel like herself again.” They added: “And that’s mainly down to her friends and family – they’ve all been so supportive and have helped her through some dark times.”
