Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is among 82 Premier League players whose contracts are set to expire next summer. Under the Bosman rule, these players can join another club on a free transfer once their current deals end on June 30, 2025.

From Wednesday, January 1, these 82 players will be able to negotiate with foreign clubs and potentially sign a pre-contract agreement, deciding their future before the season ends. However, this six-month rule only applies to foreign clubs, as Premier League clubs cannot approach other top-flight players until they enter the final month of their contract.

This is a growing concern for Liverpool, who face not only Salah’s potential departure but also that of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Speculation about the futures of these Anfield stars is rife across Merseyside and Europe.

Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan are in a similar situation following the four-time champions’ recent slump. Meanwhile, rivals Manchester United have six players due to be out of contract, including breakout star Amad, Harry Maguire, Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton.

In the capital, Arsenal are mulling over the futures of midfield pair Thomas Partey and Jorginho, both key figures in Mikel Arteta’s reign. Meanwhile, Tottenham’s skipper Son Heung-min could potentially depart on a free unless Spurs opt to sell in the January transfer window, reports the Mirror.

Conversely, Everton and Newcastle top the list with eight senior players each set to be out of contract come June. Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood, who has propelled the team to second place with 11 goals, may have piqued interest from overseas clubs, as could defender Ola Aina.

The Premier League might also bid farewell to soon-to-be 39 year old icon James Milner, who needs another 17 league appearances for Brighton to surpass Gareth Barry’s record of 653 games. Here’s the full list of Premier League players whose contracts are up.
