Fans of Holly Willoughby can’t get enough of the adorable moment she was reunited with her childhood sweetheart, thanks to a cheeky surprise by Michael McIntyre on his Big Show. The bubbly TV presenter couldn’t hide her blushes as Michael introduced her to Oliver, her first love, right there on stage.
The audience giggled along with Holly as she squirmed when Michael inquired if Oliver had kept any old mementos from their young romance. With an “Oh God!” Holly watched as Oliver revealed, “It’s funny you should ask that,” and whipped out an old letter from his pocket. Completely taken aback, Holly questioned, “Oh my god, what is that?” Oliver explained that it was a coincidence but his mum had just sent him the letter after holding onto it for ages.

“This is pure coincidence but my mother has had this and she sent it to me about six months ago. It’s a letter from you, Holly, to me.”
Holly read the note out. “Dear Oliver, how are you. have good time on holiday and get brown (if you can). I love you hope you love me and what about the photo of the naked lady Hannah was telling me about. Love Holly.” Holly turned red and cringed, “this is so embarrassing.” Face-palming, she laughed about the lipstick mark at the end of the note that resembled more of a smudge than a kiss. “It looks like I wiped my mouth with it,” she said during the recording set to air on Saturday 22 February.
Holly Willoughby once again found herself at the mercy of Michael McIntyre’s humour. Back in the fourth series of his Big Show in 2018, she bravely gave him her phone for the ‘Send to All’ prank, leading to an awkward text being blasted out to all her contacts, reports the Mirror.

The cringe-worthy message said: “As you know, I am a global style icon. This Morning are doing a feature where I help people with absolutely no dress sense and I immediately thought of you. What WAS that hideous thing you were wearing last time I saw you? Hope you won’t be offended but could you come in with a few of your outfits for Phil and I to laugh at. In return you’ll get a whole new wardrobe. What do you say? Need to know ASAP. Love Holly xxx”
Among those who replied was her children’s head teacher, who responded with good humour: “Yes of course, but I’ll probably be busy with pre-prep assembly. Are my suits really that bad?”
After leaving her role on This Morning in October 2023 after over 14 years, Holly has made a comeback on our screens, appearing on the latest series of Dancing on Ice and joining Bear Grylls for Netflix’s Celebrity Bear Hunt.
The 44 year old presenter is at the helm of a gripping show where 12 famous faces are chased by a survival pro through the wild terrain of Costa Rica. After wrapping up the intense jungle chase, she revealed: “There were a few moments on this show where I had to dig deep and have a strong word with myself. At those times, it was good to have someone like Bear next to you saying that being brave is about using that fear, harnessing it and doing it anyway.”
