Hollyoaks’ Emma Jonesy-Smith, who plays Dilly Harcourt, is reportedly set to exit the Channel 4 soap in a shocking murder plot. The actress has been portraying Sienna Blake’s (Anna Passey) sister for 18 months since joining Hollyoaks in July 2023. Dilly has been on a mission to get revenge on Sienna, but after her plan was revealed, the sisters finally reconciled and formed a close bond.
In a surprising turn of events, it was later disclosed that Patrick Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) wasn’t their father, but his twin brother, Jez, reports the Mirror. In an upcoming storyline, Jez will be unveiled as the latest serial killer, with his own daughter, Dilly, being his first victim. A source told The Sun: “Hollyoaks is known for its serial killers, but they’ve gone all out this time. It’s safe to say this bombshell reveal will see Jez unmasked as the most dangerous murderer to ever grace the village.”
They added that Jez, as the new serial killer, will make notorious Silas “look like Tom Cunningham”. The source also mentioned that the storyline is “set to run and run” before it becomes apparent “that he doesn’t operate alone.” “He’s had a lot of help hiding his disturbing hobby for years – and he hasn’t been acting alone,” they said.
OK! has reached out to Hollyoaks and Emma’s representatives for comment.
Emma from the Channel 4 soap keeps her personal life under wraps, but her Instagram is a treasure trove of travel memories. She’s posted sun-soaked snaps from Marbella, calling it her ‘favourite place’, and she seems to be quite the skiing enthusiast with trips to Les Arcs in France and Austria.
Off-screen, Emma swaps Dilly’s signature edgy look and dark eyeliner for a more distinct style. When quizzed about her best pals on set, Emma struggled to pick just one as she admitted: “That’s such a hard question because I’m genuinely close to lots of different people but as we work together the most it probably would be Matt (James-Bailey, who plays Ethan). We bicker like siblings, but there’s a lot of love there.”
