The North East coastline saw some stunning shots captured this past year.
Whether it was getting battered by the countless storms, surfers riding waves, basking sharks or paddleboarders, there have been many great shots captured on the North East’s beautiful coastline this year.
The year also saw some amazing sand art in South Shields ahead of the Great North Run.
The weather in the North East this year was no better than the last, with coast getting battered by storms Darragh and Ashley, but it was not all bad. The summer saw packed beaches, with surfers and paddleboarders making the most of the good weather.
There was also a basking shark spotted of the Northumberland Coast in September.
