Inside Team Tyson Fury – bare knuckle boxers and criminal pasts to reality stars and siblings

All eyes will be on Tyson Fury this weekend as he comes face to face with Oleksandr Usyk. In the highly-anticipated fight, which will take place on Saturday, 18 May, the pair will meet in a heavyweight clash in order for one of them to be crowned the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999.

Fans can watch Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk live on DAZN. PPV is £24.99 here and includes a one month DAZN subscription. Alternatively the boxing bout is also on Sky Sports Box Office, available for £24.95 here.

As 35 year old Tyson prepares himself for the historic boxing event, he’ll likely be being supported by his nearest and dearest, including his doting wife Paris Fury. As part of his Netflix documentary series At Home With The Furys, TV viewers caught a glimpse of Tyson’s team, but let’s take a closer look at who’ll be cheering the sportsman on…

Paris Fury

Having met as teenagers, Tyson and Paris Fury tied the knot back in 2008 and their relationship has gone from strength to strength ever since. The couple share seven children together, most recently welcoming baby Prince Rico Paris Fury into the world in 2023.

Over the years the 34 year old has shown her support and affection for Tyson and has opened up about the realities of being a mum-of-seven. “When my kids come back from schooling I think it’s really important to give them that time to talk to you and for you to listen to them,” she told OK!.

“I love to hear about what they’ve done, even if you’re not interested you’ve got to sit them telling you about their day you know?”

Amber Fury

Tyson’s mum Amber prefers to stay away from the spotlight and in his autobiography, Behind The Mask, Tyson revealed that she didn’t “fully understand” what he’d achieved during his time in the boxing ring.

“I took her out shopping one time after the Wilder fight and I was being stopped for photographs and autographs everywhere I went in Manchester and she couldn’t understand it,” he wrote. “I had to explain to her that I was the heavyweight champion of the world and a lot of people had watched me and supported me. That was actually very special.”

John Fury

Tyson’s dad John is a retired boxer and bare-knuckle fighter and viewers at home may recognise him from his appearance in At Home With The Furys. His professional boxing career spanned eight years between 1987 to 1995 and he had 13 professional fights.

In a chat with Daily Star Sport, the sports star opened up about entering the limelight. “My true claim to fame is that I’ve got two very famous sons. Multimillionaires. All the rest of them’s doing well. They’re all alive. I’m in good health. I’m happy. I’m in good spirit,” he said.

In 2011 John was jailed for gouging a man’s eye out. He later said: “He’s lost an eye and I’ve lost five years of my life.”

Tommy Fury

Tyson’s half-brother Tommy Fury may have made headlines back in 2019 when he appeared on Love Island – where he met his fiancée Molly-Mae Hague – but Tommy is also a talented boxer and in October 2023 he won on points in a boxing match against social media star KSI.

Away from boxing, the 25 year old is a dad to daughter Bambi who turned one earlier this year. He is also set to make his acting debut in upcoming film The Debt Inherited. Sharing the news on Instagram, Tommy called it a “massive goal” of his.

But Tommy isn’t the only one of Tyson’s siblings to embark on a boxing career. Roman Fury, Tyson’s half-brother, turned pro in 2020 and back in March was cheered on by Tyson, Tommy and dad John as he scored his fourth win. Tyson also has two other brothers called Shane and Hugh.
