ITV Love Island fans left fuming after tense cliffhanger interrupts challenge

Love Island fans were distinctly unamused, venting their irritation on social media after the latest episode concluded with an exceedingly tense cliffhanger.

In the current episode of the hit ITV2 dating series, the classic challenge Snog, Marry, Pie made a comeback, but not without a striking twist.

The game took everyone by surprise as it’s traditionally played during daylight hours, yet this time around, it commenced at night, following the islanders’ glamorous evening preparations.

The contestants were seen selecting which fellow islander they’d prefer to marry, snog, or pie, based on the opposite sex.

Predictably, the challenge escalated tensions between Luca Bish, Samie Elishi and Grace Jackson, as they find themselves ensnared in a romantic tangle, reports the Mirror.

Samie, the bombshell addition, was paired with Luca through a public vote, wrenching him away from Grace. With the commencement of the game, all eyes were on whether Samie would indulge in a steamy smooch with Luca.

But viewers were left incensed when the show ended abruptly just before Samie’s anticipated reveal of her kiss choice.

A disappointed viewer posted on X (formerly Twitter): “#LoveIsland why finish now there’s still meant to be 5 mins.”

Another expressed anger: “Ffs Li another cliff hanger #LoveIslandAllStars #LoveIsland.” Another comment read: “WTF WHY WOULD IT END THERE ARE YOU STUPID??? #Loveisland.”

One viewer was left in shock, exclaiming: “B****? ? ? WHY THEY ENDING IT LIKE THAT #LoveIsland.”

Another was equally baffled by the show’s suspenseful tactics: “A cliffhanger for a challenge is crazy #loveislandallstars #Loveisland.”

Luca and Samie went on their first date tonight following dramatic recoupling

In another part of the villa, Luca and Samie found themselves on an enforced date. The atmosphere was charged with discomfort as the two navigated their outing, especially since Luca had recently chosen to sleep outside with Grace, leaving Samie feeling neglected.

As they sat together, Samie disclosed a surprising detail about her past interaction with Luca, mentioning that he had sent her a “happy birthday” message the previous year. However, she confessed she hadn’t responded because she was in a relationship at the time.

Luca tried to inject some humour into the revelation, quipping: “Must have been hard” before playfully confessing: “I have a situationship so I can’t reply.”
