Kelsey Parker has opened up further on how her late husband Tom Parker‘s parents reacted to the news of her pregnancy with her new beau. Chatting on Loose Women today, following her exclusive pregnancy reveal to OK!, Kelsey revealed that she checks in with Tom’s parents on FaceTime every weekend.
Kelsey said: “We FaceTime every weekend, every Sunday I’m on the phone to Noreen [Tom’s mum], trying to get the kids to sit there and FaceTime. In the end, it’s me and Noreen catching up.” She continued: “Noreen’s just happy for me, she messaged me the other day like, ‘Are we going to find out what you have?’ and I was like, ‘I still don’t know!’. She said, as long as you and the baby are healthy and happy, that’s all that matters.” Discussing her boyfriend Will’s thoughts on expecting a little one, Kelsey reflected: “I feel like he’s skipped a stage. He’s had to come in and have the 4/5 year old and now he’s going to have a newborn.”

Kelsey previously spoke to OK! about Tom’s mum’s reaction to the news. She told us: “Tom’s mum Noreen gave me her blessing instantly. She can’t wait to have another grandchild. All I care about is that both our families and Tom’s family are happy. “
Kelsey warmly speaks of her kinship with Noreen. “Noreen is the most amazing lady. After Tom passed, she said to me, ‘As long as you’re happy Kels, whatever you do, we will always support you and be happy for you.’ We’ve all been through so much together. But I’m here and bringing another baby into the world.”

The doting mum to five year old Aurelia and four year old Bodhi – her children with late The Wanted star Tom – Kelsey found herself pregnant with Bodhi amid lockdown and shortly before Tom’s tragic brain tumour diagnosis.
During her heartfelt Loose Women chat, Kelsey also shared how her kids are thrilled at the idea of having another sibling, with Aurelia hoping for a sister and Bodhi a brother.
Yet, in a surprising twist, she revealed: “We have actually got an email with the result but we’ve not actually opened it,”, reports the Mirror. On reflecting about her children’s experience, Kelsey stated: “They deserve the happiness, because so much has been taken away from them, and I just want them to be happy, and they’re over the moon.”

Kelsey expressed her desire to appreciate the present moments, explaining: “We’re taking every moment and lapping it up because life has been so tough for us. Life can change like that. I went through hell and back, and now I’m trying to find the joys through life.”
After Tom’s heartbreaking passing in March 2022 following a courageous battle with terminal brain cancer glioblastoma, Kelsey has found solace in moving forward. During an emotional interview with OK! she spoke of discovering she was expecting again: “Tom and I always said we wanted four – but life had other plans. So yes, this is amazing but also bittersweet.”
“The joys of finding out I’m pregnant and moving forward with my life, while thinking, ‘My life could have been so different.’ I’ve felt every emotion under the sun. I’m still getting my head around it but I’m so excited.”
