The Kardashians have returned with a new episode for the sixth season of their hit reality series, now streaming on Disney+ as of today (March 13).
In a heart-wrenching moment from the latest episode, Kris Jenner opens up about the sudden loss of her sister, Karen Houghton, who died last year at 65 due to cardiac arrest and arrhythmia stemming from heart complications, reports the Mirror.
During an emotional conversation with Scott Disick, Kris shares her grief, saying: “You just don’t expect your sibling to pass when she was younger than me. I just feel really bad for my mum, I don’t think any parent deserves to lose a child, I can’t imagine.”
Kris tries to come to terms with her sister’s passing, confessing: “I know she’s in a better place because she was never feeling good. I just didn’t expect a heart attack.”
She finds solace in her belief: “I believe she’s in heaven with everyone else that we love and that’s what I have to hang on to.”

Kourtney Kardashian reminisces about her aunt in a touching confessional, saying: “My aunt Karen was such a sweet, authentic person.”
She fondly recalls: “My favourite memory of her is that she had a microphone in her car and she would sing while she was driving and so we were singing and having the best time, I was 10.”
Khloe Kardashian praises her mother’s dedication, adding: “My mum has always done anything and everything she can, she’s been such a great support for Karen.”
Kim Kardashian opened up about the devastating impact that her aunt’s death had on her mum Kris Jenner, saying: “My mum is so incredibly heartbroken over the loss of her sister.
“Also, the fear of what this would do to my grandma and my mum is constant worry and grief thinking about MJ [Kris’ mum Mary Jo Shannon]. It breaks my heart because it’s such a helpless feeling.”

Then Kim herself reflects on her late aunt during a heart-to-heart with the camera, saying: “She was the best human being ever, she was so fun and she was great.”
Back when her sister died in March last year, Kris Jenner took to social media to post an emotional tribute, writing: “Karen was beautiful inside and out. She was the sweetest, kindest, the most sensitive and vulnerable and so so funny.”
Continuing her homage, she added: “She always felt grateful and thankful for her life and treasured her family and friends and especially her beautiful daughter.”
Wrapping up her soul-stirring message, Kris shared: “She holds such a huge part of my heart and I cherish every single memory we have together.”
