Lorraine Kelly has given her verdict on Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright’s unique baby name choice, summing it up in one word for her viewers: “fabulous”. On her ITV show on Thursday morning, Lorraine shared the news that Michelle and Mark have welcomed a baby girl named Palma.
Kicking off her show with a hearty congratulations to the couple, Lorraine told her audience: “They’ve called her Palma – now Palma is believed to be inspired by their love of the Spanish island of Mallorca.” She then cheekily speculated, “Maybe that’s where she was conceived? Who knows – if so, fabulous.”

Yesterday, Michelle and Mark joyfully announced the arrival of their first child, a little girl they’ve named Palma Elizabeth Wright. The couple took to Instagram to share a black and white snapshot of their newborn, captioning it: “Together we have a new love to share… Our little girl” followed by a white heart emoji. They also revealed her birth date, writing: “Palma Elizabeth Wright. 06.03.25”, reports the Mirror.
The post was quickly inundated with congratulatory messages from friends, fans, and family alike. Mark’s sister Jess Wright gushed: “Most beautiful addition to our family. I finally have a niece and I am so in love.”
Mark’s mum Carol Wright sweetly said: “So so precious, Nana and granddad adore you. Xxx”, while his dad Mark Sr, said: “Grandads little living doll, absolutely beautiful, love you so much palma xxx.”

Mark’s brother Josh added: “Made up for you both and incredibly proud. You will be amazing parents to your beautiful little princess who is perfect in every way. Can’t wait for Palma to grow with her cousins who will protect her forever and make memories for a lifetime. Welcome to the world my little niece. We love you so much.”
Fitness guru Joe Wicks commented on the birth announcement with: “Ffs I’m crying over here. I know how much you’ve wanted to be a dad and you’ll be an amazing dad too. This is the most beautiful thing to see. So happy for you both.”
Fans have also been speculating about little Palma’s name. One person pondered: “I wonder if they were in Majorca 9 months ago. An unusual but beautiful name.”
