Scott van der Sluis has dropped a bombshell by revealing he bailed on Love Island All Stars just before it kicked off. Taking to Snapchat, Scott spilled the tea to his followers: “I was going to do [All Stars]. I pulled out two days before the show started for various reasons. I sat down with my family and there was quite a few reasons why I decided to go against it.”
He added: “But I was on FaceTime to [Luca Bish] every day for about two months straight before he went on. He had lost [access to] his phone by the time I’d pulled out so he doesn’t actually know that I’m [not] going in there. He is still expecting me to go in!”.
This comes after Luca’s own drama on the show, where he hinted at quitting after a heated moment. In a recent episode, the islanders were playing a game that got too real for comfort. When Luca’s turn came up, he was dared to “snog the islander other than your partner who shares your vibe.”
Choosing to lock lips with Samie Elishi, he left everyone, especially Grace Jackson, his current flame, in shock, reports the Mirror.
Luca sent Samie a DM before the show, with Luca later unsending it after being aired. Grace didn’t take the public snog lightly, telling Luca to “shut the f**k up,” which led to him storming off, declaring, “I’m gone,” and leaving the game and possibly the villa in chaos.
If he had not decided against another show stint, Scott’s arrival could have been a boost for his pal Luca, who has had some emotional moments while in the vila. Scott’s presence might have also offered him an opportunity to rekindle things with his ex-flame, Catherine Agbaje.
The pair first crossed paths on Love Island’s 10th series in 2023, where they sparked up a romance. However, their bond hit a rocky patch during the Casa Amor segment when Catherine returned to the main villa with newbie Elom Ahlijah-Wilson, leaving Scott single and vulnerable.
After their stint on the show, Catherine and Elom called it quits, sparking fans’ hopes for a reunion between Scott and Catherine. .
Scott’s decision to quit the show comes after several other contestants made their exit. Just last week, Scott Thomas decided to pack his bags after failing to click with any of the girls in the villa. Despite trying with Tina Stinnes, he confessed that he didn’t want to force anything and felt the spark was missing.
On Monday night, Ron Hall chose to leave the show without finding his perfect match. However, he insisted on leaving “on a happy note.
