Former Love Island star Rosie Williams, 33, has announced she is engaged to a mystery man while on a romantic holiday in the Maldives. The reality TV star, who appeared on the ITV2 show in 2018, shared a video of the magical moment on Instagram.
The clip shows a beautifully decorated seafront villa with white flowers and candles, where her partner got down on one knee. Rosie looked stunning in a sheer white dress with floral detailing and white heels, while her fiancé wore a beige suit with a white T-shirt underneath.
After the proposal, the couple shared a passionate kiss before he placed the ring on her finger. The video ends with the pair cuddling on a deck. Alongside the post, Rosie simply wrote “17.12.2024.” with a black heart emoji. The video was set to Kacey Musgrave’s cover of Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love and tagged the venue Velaa Private Island Maldives, reports the Mirror.
The stunning private island is a secluded slice of luxury and popular with celebrities, welcoming Ronan Keating to perform last week.
Rosie does occasionally post pictures with her significant other, but has never tagged his social medias or revealed his name. Following the sweet announcement, a slew of fellow Love Island stars congratulated Rosie.
Hayley Hughes, also from the villa six years back, wrote: “Congratulations beauty. So happy for you.” While their co-star Samira Mighty added: “Beautiful.”
The well wishes kept rolling in with Anna Vakili from the 2019 series commenting: “Congratulations beautiful” and this year’s Emma Milton adding her own “Congratulations.”

Rosie rose to fame for being part of Love Island’s fourth series in 2018, where Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham took the crown. However, she had quite the journey as she coupled up with Adam Collard – resulting in an emotional clash when he recoupled with with Zara McDermott and left her single. The drama saw the women’s charity Women’s Aid issue a statement accusing Adam of “’emotional abuse.”
While neither found lasting love on the show, Adam is also engaged now, popping the question to presenter Laura Woods earlier this year. When Rosie found out Adam and Laura were an item, she said: “I was just as shocked as everyone else when I was told she was dating Adam. I was told, I don’t actually have Adam on social media.
“Adam and I were short lived, and it was five years ago now but when he went back on Love Island the second time, I hoped that he didn’t treat the girls the same way that he did with me and Zara McDermott… I hoped that he went on the show to find love as he said.”
