Love Island’s Catherine and Omar set for another showdown as he kisses Tina

Get ready for even more sizzling drama on Love Island, following a week of non-stop chaos in the villa. After bombshells Chuggs Wallace and Samie Elishi successfully set the sparks flying earlier in the week, the reintroduction of the infamous Snog, Marry, Pie game only fuelled the fire. Traditionally a daytime challenge, this season shook things up by having the dolled-up Islanders play the revealing game under the stars, with each tasked to choose who they’d marry, snog, and pie from the opposite sex.

The episode on Thursday 6 February left viewers on the edge of their seats, as a tantalising cliffhanger lingered over whether Sami would lock lips with Luca or not. But Sami’s decision isn’t the only one sparking tension — Omar Nyame‘s unexpected move to kiss Tina rather than Catherine in Friday’s show stirs the pot even further.

Catherine, mixed up by the events, grabs Omar for a private conversation to get some answers, probing him with “Why did you kiss Tina?” Omar, eager to clear the air, asserts: “I’m gonna nip this in the bud, I don’t have anything for Tina.”

The conversation heats up as Catherine confronts Omar about his actions: “It felt like deja vu, I was reliving that moment, everyone’s looking at me,” while Omar offers an apology for seemingly disregarding her feelings. Catherine, feeling let down, makes it clear to him that he’s used up his second chance, firmly stating, “Don’t do anything else, especially with Tina, that’s a bye… I’m telling you now it will hurt me,” reports the Mirror.

Omar has recently been getting close to Catherine

Omar, who joined the villa just a week prior, was originally on the eleventh season of Love Island with Grace Jackson, Ronnie Vint, and Harriett Blackmore. Before making his entrance this year, he teased that he’d be shaking things up, declaring, “It’s round two so I’m ready to go! I’m ready to play the field as well. I want to be a bit mysterious. The other person will know how I’m feeling, I’m not going to tell them at first but they’ll definitely feel my aura and my vibe.” He also mentioned his intentions to be bolder this time around, eyeing Catherine, Grace, Elma, and Tina as potential connections.

Upon arrival, Omar wasted no time causing a stir, first taking Grace out on a date and then Catherine, who shared that her initial week in the villa had been quite “emotional.” During their chat, Omar told her, “You need somebody that’s got that fire,” prompting Catherine to reveal, “I’ve been patiently waiting.”

The pair then decided to spend more time getting to know each other, but it seems Catherine might already be having second thoughts about that choice.
