Married at First Sight Australia fans are hoping for the return of beloved bride Katie following her “devastating” rejection on the show.
During the 12th season of the hit reality experiment, which is currently airing on E4, the experts paired 37-year-old business manager Katie with 38-year-old primary school teacher Tim.
They seemed like a solid match on paper, but Tim quickly made it clear that he wasn’t attracted to his new bride, pulling producers aside to say that he didn’t feel a “spark”.
Despite learning about Tim’s lack of attraction, Katie was determined to make things work on the honeymoon, but her groom remained uncooperative.
To make matters worse, Tim then told his co-stars that he felt that he had been “making the most effort” in the relationship – leading Katie to question everything that happened between them.

When Katie moved into their shared apartment later in the week, she was furious to learn that Tim had decided to fly home to Melbourne instead.
The pair came face to face again at the first commitment ceremony on Monday (March 17) night, where Katie got the experts up to speed on Tim’s actions.
“I’m okay with who I am, I like who I am, but you don’t want to focus on anything good I have. You’re just focusing on what I don’t have,” she said.
Defending his actions, Tim added: “I came here for love, not to do work. When you feel that someone’s not there for you, that’s not a partner I want.”
John Aiken was quick to call Tim out on his behaviour at the dinner party, which he described as “gaslighting 101”.
After hearing John’s comments, Tim continued not to take any accountability, with the couple both writing “leave” shortly after.

Following the pair’s exit from the experiment, MAFS fans quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their hopes that the experts will find Katie a new groom who will “treat her better”.
“Producers need to go back to the drawing board and find Katie a Plan B with actual potential,” one person wrote, with another adding: “Awwwwwww poor Katie, get her a new groom who will treat her better now.”
A third person said: “I really hope she gets a do over! Tim was disappointing, but then again self proclaimed nice guys usually are, because they usually seem to have such high expectations,” with another sharing: “She deserves a new groom. This one is broken, put him in the bin.”
A fourth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: “Can the experts just please bring a new man for Katie?” with another similarly sharing: “They need a wildcard round for her, give her a fresh guy with better values.”
