Soulja Boy and Marlon Wayans are going back and forth with insults, but the Scary Movie star doesn’t seem bothered.
In a brief interview with TMZ, which can be seen below, Wayans was asked about his beef with Soulja Boy and responded, “Who’s that?”
When pressed for more, he smiled and said he doesn’t have a problem with the “Crank That” rapper.
“If you’re gonna beef, you have to have a chest, that’s first and foremost,” he continued. “Tattoos I can’t see don’t scare me. … But no, I’m good, me and Soulja Boy cool.”
He then reiterated a criticism he leveled against the rapper on social media. “You gotta have more than two songs to beef,” he said with a laugh before coming up with a casting idea.
“I need a crackhead for the new Scary Movie. I need a crack and a methhead all mixed together, you’re perfect. I need someone that looks like a wet muppet. … I want someone that look like they’ll sell your car, rob you, and suck your dick all at the same time. Soulja Boy!”
A paparazzo asked if that means Soulja Boy will be in the highly-anticipated Scary Movie reboot, and Wayans suggested he was thinking much further ahead.
“Nah he ain’t gonna be in 6. I’ll put him in 13 … He can be the lead of Scary Movie 13,” he said.
Earlier this week, Soulja Boy launched a verbal assault on Wayans after the filmmaker made a joke about him only having two songs. The rapper said that Wayans was “not funny” and “a bitch,” which caught his attention.
“Says the c**n that jumped over the moon,” Wayans replied, to which Soulja Boy questioned Wayans’ decision to star in the 2004 comedy White Chicks.
They’ve been going back and forth ever since.
“I’m sorry, [Soulja Boy] said what now? Lookin’ like you give up anything for some meth,” Wayans wrote alongside a photo that shows a man very close to Soulja Boy.
In other tweets, the actor and comedian also questioned why the rapper still uses “boy” in his stage name and shared a video showing Soulja Boy asking to be cast in one of Wayans’ movies.
Soulja Boy doubled down on his homophobia and called Wayans’ son Kai a transphobic slur. He later shared a screenshot of his Google search with headlines about Wayans’ support for his transgender child.
“That f*ggot shit run in the family huh?” he wrote. “No wonder u like dressing up as a bitch it’s in ur blood.”
Wayans rightfully called out Soulja Boy for his hateful tweet.
“You know you can get cancelled for transphobic slander like this,” he wrote. “Fortunately for you that you don’t have a career. Apparently, you BEEN cancelled for the last 17 years. ‘Crank That’ was 2007. We waiting.”
