So just over five weeks since Newcastle United secured their place at Wembley, the day is nearly here and, as well as it being Carabao Cup final weekend, the is also the small matter of Paddy Fest taking place in the city this weekend. And the place where you can get stuck into both is the huge fan zone in Times Square.
Not for the first time, the Newcastle city centre location is now home to a massive marquee, which will be in residence into next week to host darts party Flight Night on Friday, Paddy Fest on Saturday, the Carabao Cup final screening on Sunday and another St Patrick’s Day event on Monday.
The weekend’s festivities got going with a student darts night on Thursday and, on Friday afternoon, ChronicleLive paid a visit to the Times Square Fan Zone, one of the best places to watch the match in Newcastle, to have a look around and also find out just how much people can expect to pay for their favourite tipple across the weekend.
With an estimated 3,000 set to head into the heated marquee on Sunday, after crowds flock there for Paddy Fest, you’ll want to get down early to secure a good spot, with doors opening at 12 noon. And here is the information you came for, the bar prices:
