Newcastle United stars hit the red carpet for VIP opening of Eatflix cinema in Heaton

Newcastle United stars were in the company of music icons on Thursday night, as they hit the red carpet for the opening of the stunning Eatflix cinema in Heaton.

After huge success with their themed eat-along movie events at their bar Alfie’s, on the outskirts of Newcastle city centre, brothers Joe and Ollie Brack have taken things to a whole new level, having taken on the Chillingham Road premises that were previously home to a dance hall.

Having transformed the building to turn into a place oozing with Hollywood glamour, Joe and Ollie opened the doors to Eatflix for the first time this week, ahead if its full launch in February. Eatflix’s mission is to deliver 5D movie magic all year round; with customers sitting down, not just to watch a film, but have a whole dining experience themed around it; with an intricately crafted menu inspired by a particular movie, being served to tables at exact times during the screening.

The first movie on the Eatflix schedule is hit Disney Pixar animation Ratatouille, with an invited audience of VIP guests getting their first look inside the luxury Eatflix cinema, as well as getting a taste of the action, which brought them creations like a Rat Poison cocktail, chicken breast served with white truffle sauce and, of course, a helping of ratatouille.

And, among the people in attendance at Thursday night’s VIP party were some very well known faces from the ranks of Newcastle United, ahead of the Magoies’ home game against Fulham on Saturday. Just days before Eddie Howe’s men hope to secure a place in this year’s Carabao Cup final; his right hand man Jason Tindall headed to Eatflix, alongside Fabian Schar, Sean Longstaff, Mark Gillespie, John Ruddy and ex NUFC defender Paul Dummett.

Also in the audience for the special screening was Newcastle’s own Andrew Cushin, fresh from the release of his new single Love is for Everyone and the news that he will be supporting Robbie Williams at the Come Together festival this summer. Have a look at our VIP launch night photos below.
