Oodie has become one of the first retailers to launch a huge festive season sale, slashing many of its winter warmer must-haves down to half price – perfect to treat yourself after all that Christmas shopping.
The brand is most famous for its super-snuggly hooded blankets, and if you’ve always wanted to get your hands on one there are several styles available for less in its early Boxing Day offers. Both the classic Grey Oodie and Navy Oodie have been reduced to less than half price, now £29 down from £65, as have popular prints such as the Avocado Oodie and the Unicorn Oodie.
If you’re not familiar with these garments, Oodies are essentially a warm and cosy wearable blanket with sleeves, a hood and a large kangaroo pocket lined with soft Sherpa fleece. Earning thousands of five-star reviews from shoppers, Oodie saw its popularity soar during the cost of living crisis as many branded it a great way to keep heating bills down in the winter months by saving you from having to turn up the thermostat.
More Oodie designs to have been reduced down to just £29 include the I Love Plants Oodie, the colourful Wave Geo Oodie and the Purple Tie-Dye Oodie. And Original Oodies aren’t the only thing to have seen a major price drop in the sale, with several of the brand’s Oodie Onesies now available for less too, including the Cloud Onesie, the Blue Leopard Onesie and the Pink & Purple Onesie, all of which can now be snapped up for £39 instead of £75.
In case you missed the big news earlier this year, Oodie recently introduced a “new and improved” range made with its signature cosy material and one game-changing difference: it can be worn outdoors even on rainy days. The Outdoor Oodie is a reversible zip-up jacket featuring super-soft fleece on the inside and water-repellent nylon on the outside, making it a dream come true for anyone who has ever wished they could wear an Oodie outside the house.
Promising to keep you warm and dry no matter the weather, the jacket can be worn two ways, with the fleece layer making sure you stay extra-toasty while the hood, ribbed cuffs and roomy side pockets add practical touches for days out in inclement weather. And these jackets are now down to half price in the Boxing Day sale, with the Camel & Black Outdoor Jacket, the Black & Charcoal Outdoor Jacket, and the Olive & Navy Outdoor Jacket among the designs to have dropped in price from £109 down to just £54.50.

Now priced at £29 down from £59 and available in black, white or khaki, the boots are also made for “all day comfort” with padded heel and arch support – and they even have a rubber sole to make them suitable for taking outside too.
Of course, Oodie isn’t the only retailer out there offering wearable blankets to cosy up in this winter, with more budget-friendly options available on the high street. Marks & Spencer’s Teddy Fleece Hooded Blanket is available in medium, large and kids sizes so the whole family can wear a matching set, priced between £15 and £19.50 with grey, cream, black or pink shades to choose from.
And over at Dunelm, a bestselling favourite is the Oversized Blanket Hoodie which has a price tag of just £16 to £18 depending on which colour you choose, with 10 to pick from including grey, pink, olive and black. This budget-friendly wearable blanket hoodie has received stellar ratings from hundreds of shoppers, earning an overall score of 4.8 out of five stars based on more than 1,000 reviews.
