Ozzy Osbourne’s health is continuing to deteriorate.
The singer was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2003, which has now impacted his mobility. Sharon Osbourne discussed his health with The Sun, in advance of his Black Sabbath reunion concert in July, which will be the first time they’ve played together in 20 years and his last performance.
“He’s very happy to be coming back and very emotional about this,” she explained. “Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilize. It affects different parts of the body and it’s affected his legs. But his voice is as good as it’s ever been.”
According to People, Ozzy also recently opened up about his struggles with the neurological disorder on his SiriusXM radio show. “I have made it to 2025,” he said. “I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive.”
He added, “I may be moaning that I can’t walk but I look down the road and there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me and didn’t make it.”
Though Ozzy was diagnosed with a mild form of Parkinson’s in 2003, he didn’t publicly reveal he had the disease until January 2020. “I’m no good with secrets. I cannot walk around with it anymore ’cause it’s like I’m running out of excuses, you know?” he told Good Morning America at the time.
The 76-year-old has endured several corrective surgeries, including four spinal surgeries over the years, with his last in September 2023.
