Pete Wicks has made a touching confession about his love life struggles, despite the buzz around his budding romance with Maura Higgins.
The reality TV heartthrob and Strictly Come Dancing sensation has been snapped at a number of events with former Love Islander Maura, even being pictured having a kiss. In a candid chat, Pete has spoken about his relationship woes on an episode of his Staying Relevant podcast, featuring guest Olivia Attwood.
During a Q&A segment, a listener asked Olivia to give Pete dating advice. She didn’t mince herwords, saying: “Pete’s never had any problem getting the women, but also I feel you don’t keep them out of your own choice.
“I feel like you, for so long have not let anyone in, so it’s a you problem, sorry. It’s about whether you want to let somebody in or not.”

Pete responded by acknowledging that he’s at a turning point, saying: “It’s a bit of a sad existence, but I do feel like I’m now in a different stage in my life.”
He then shared a poignant revelation, expressing his fear of solitude, adding: “I don’t want to die alone.” Olivia lightened the mood with a playful jab: ”You should move fast, because you’ve probably only got a few years (left). “”.
Meanwhile, Maura, fresh from her stint in I’m A Celebrity, hinted at a special someone in her life before entering the jungle. Though she kept names under wraps, the 34-year-old hinted at their recent get-togethers.

In a heart-to-heart discussion about her personal life with GK Barry, the star candidly expressed: “What’s the point in getting them [the media] involved too soon, when you just don’t know where it’s gonna go, you know? “.
Having been voted off the show on Friday, Maura opened up to Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary during their This Morning chat saying. He said: “But let’s be real, I said it. Can’t remember saying it, but I said the words, ‘I miss him,’ and I do miss him. Like I miss all my friends and family. But no, he is the most supportive.
“Honestly, I didn’t know if he was still in Strictly, and I’m so proud of him; he’s proud of me, and yeah, I can’t wait to see him when I get back! “.
