Sam Fender has told fans who had tickets for his cancelled arena gig in Newcastle that they’ll be granted early access to tickets for his newly announced summer 2025 dates.
Due to the huge anticipated demand for his December show on home turf, scheduled to happen at the Utilita Arena on Friday, December 20, tickets for it were made available through ballot only, to people with a North East postcode. Tens of thousands of fans tried to get their hands on tickets, with all of them sold out in a matter of minutes, before Sam broke the devastating news that he’d been advised to postpone, having ruptured a vocal chord.
On the day that show was due to take place, fans then received word from ticket agents that the concert had actually been cancelled, as plans to reschedule it ‘would not be possible’ due to logistical reasons, with fans who had tickets for his Glasgow date also receiving the same update.
Sam will be in Newcastle in June to play three sold out shows at St James’ Park and on Thursday morning, announced three new dates for the summer – in Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast. And he followed up news of the trio of outdoor gigs with a post on his Instagram story, revealing that anyone with tickets for the cancelled shows in Newcastle and Leeds would get priority access to Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast and would be contacted directly by promoters.
General sale for the new dates will begin on Friday, February 21, with a pre-sale set to launch on February 19, for anyone who pre-orders his new People Watching album HERE
