Snoop Dogg Reveals His Dream Blunt Rotation

In an interview with Complex for his new Dr. Dre-produced album Missionary, Snoop Dogg revealed who would make his dream blunt rotation, dead or alive.

Snoop, one of the most prolific weed smokers in pop culture history, didn’t hesitate when asked for who he’d love to pass the blunt to. “I really want to smoke and do a record with Sade,” he said. “I think we would have a nice time smoking and then going right into a session that Dr. Dre produced.” Dre added, “I love Sade.”

Pressed for more, he said Michael Jordan would be another pick. Asked why he wouldn’t pick Michael Jackson instead, he replied, “I smoked next to Michael Jackson.” His final pick was Muhammad Ali.

During the interview, Dre was also asked for his blunt rotation. “I’m going to go with [Kurt] Cobain,” he said. “Ella Fitzgerald. I really like this version of her singing ‘Round Midnight.’ Thelonious Monk and George Clinton.” He added that he “smoked one time with Snoop,” and was asked what happened. “I fucking realize what God looks like,” he replied. “I’m never smoking with this motherfucker again.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Snoop and Dre spoke about the legacy of their debut collaborative effort Doggystyle, why they decided to reunite 30 years later for Missionary, and the current state of hip-hop.

“I don’t want to be disrespectful to anybody right now, but I’m not really inspired by what’s happening with hip-hop these days,” said Dre. “It’s not for me. I’ve always said I’m not going to disrespect it or anything like that, but I haven’t heard anything that makes me go fuck, why didn’t I do that? I haven’t heard that in a long time, which makes my job easy to be honest.”
