Viewers of Sort Your Life Out were reduced to tears as a touching story unfolded on the popular BBC show. In the episode that aired on Tuesday (18 February), Stacey Solomon and her team paid a visit to Lynda and Ben’s home in Leeds, which was overwhelmed with clutter.
During the emotional episode, Lynda and Ben candidly shared their struggles with the audience. The duo confessed that their love of shopping and difficulty discarding items had resulted in a lot of clutter, and then dropped the heartbreaking revelation that Lynda is battling stage four breast cancer.
The couple’s confession brought tears to the eyes of those watching at home, as the pair discussed the uncertainty surrounding how much time Lynda has remaining, whilst also caring for their five year old daughter Charlotte.

Ben recounted how Lynda found a “tiny lump” beneath her left breast two years prior, which led to her diagnosis. Speaking about her journey, Lynda said: “After that, I was sent for an MRI scan and it was decided to have a masectomy.”
She heartbreakingly added: “I was thinking, well, we go through the rough time but it’ll be worth it in the long run when come out. That wasn’t the case. I was told it had spread to my liver. Stage four, which does mean unfortunately it is incurable.”
Lynda’s husband held back tears as he praised her resilience, calling her a “trooper” who carries on with life despite the challenges. He also expressed how the family, including young Charlotte, has been focusing on creating precious memories during their weekends together, resulting in less attention given to maintaining their house, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Viewers were left reaching for the tissues after watching the emotional scenes, with many flocking to social media to express their feelings for Lynda and Ben.
