The nation’s crafting queen, Stacey Solomon, opened up about her family Christmas in a recent episode of The One Show, revealing a detail that she admits is “very upsetting”.
Stacey sat down with Alex Jones and Roman Kemp to spill the beans on her holiday telly habits. With Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies by her side, she confessed what it’s really like in her house come Christmas day.
When Roman inquired, “Stacey, Christmas Day this year, who controls the remote control in your household?” she couldn’t hide her dismay.
The TV star replied: “Oh, I’m sorry to say Russell, but it’s mainly kids’ TV in our house. It’s very upsetting. I mean lovely for a couple of minutes of the day.”

But beyond controlling the TV, Stacey shared more festive details. Alongside hubby Joe Swash and their brood, she’s giving us crafty vibes as she gears up to present her very own Crafty Christmas extravaganza scheduled to air Wednesday, 18 December, at 9pm on BBC One, reports Wales Online.
Stacey’s new show will see her whipping up homemade Christmas gifts and decor, including angel tree toppers, compact trees, gingerbread body butter, and easy peasy no-sew cushions.

Yet there’s more festive joy to be spread, as Stacey revealed on The One Show: she’ll be hosting a yuletide bash at her grandma Gwen’s care home, bringing some much-deserved merriment to the residents.
The superstar mum-of-five enlisted a dream team to bring her festive vision to life, roping in her hubby Joe, the kids, her sister Jemma, and her ‘Sort Your Life Out’ sidekick, Dilly Carter.
They’ve been tasked with transforming a care home into a magical winter wonderland. Stacey’s hand-crafted decorations will deck the halls just in time for the residents and staff to bask in the holiday cheer.

While chatting with Roman and Alex, she couldn’t hide her excitement about the visit, enthusing: “Grandma Gwen was so excited we were coming to her care home! She was over the moon.
“My grandma is just the most amazing woman. She’s 96 this month,” and added: “So when we said we’ll come to her care home, she was absolutely delighted.”
The One Show airs Mondays-Fridays at 7pm on BBC One.
