Strictly Come Dancing fans were on the edge of their seats with another gripping episode, as the final five stars danced for a coveted spot in the semi-finals. After Pete Wicks scored an impressive 32 points with his Foxtrot and earned the title “Mr Strictly Come Dancing” from head judge Shirley Ballas, the reality star was back for his second stint on the dance floor with another fiery display.
A sultry Argentine Tango by Pete and Jowita turned up the heat and had everyone talking when it ended with the pair inches apart, leading to a buzz on Twitter as some admitted, upon first glance, they thought the duo had kissed. “It did look like Pete and Jowita were going to kiss. They were that close at the end,” wrote one user.

Another commented: “The speed in which I zoomed to check if it was a real kiss,” while a third quipper that Pete’s current flame Maura Higgins won’t be too pleased over the moment. “That was very close to a kiss. Maura won’t be happy,” they wrote.
Despite many swirling rumours surrounding Pete’s relationship with Jowita, the former TOWIE star has insisted there is nothing more than friendship there.
Making it clear during a chat on This Morning when it was suggested he and Jowita are in a ‘love bubble’, Pete cleared up: “No, it’s not a love bubble, we have great chemistry because we’ve become such good friends! “, reports the Express.
Fans have been confused over Pete’s love life recently, as he was linked to Maura – who he was snapped getting cosy with at the Pride Of Britain Awards earlier this year – while the reports about him and Jowita have been swirling. And finally, following her stint on I’m A Celeb, Maura confirmed her relationship with Pete during a This Morning interview with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
After talking about Pete with her campmates in the jungle, Maura appeared on This Morning via video link after being evicted from and opened up about their romance further when pressed by host Alison. The TV presenter said: “I’m very excited about you meeting up with Pete when you come back – we all know it’s Pete, don’t even go there and say it isn’t Pete! We all know it’s Pete and he loves you, you love him.
“What’s going to happen when you come back? We’re so excited about this,” she added. Maura sheepishly replied: “Oh God. It didn’t take you long to ask that question, Alison, did it? Do you know what? You do forget about the cameras and I do like to keep things private but let’s be real, I said it.
“I can’t remember saying it but I said the words, ‘I miss him.’ I do miss him – like I missed all my friends and family,” she laughed. “He’s been so supportive.” Alison the interjected with a rather cheeky question: “Can I be a bridesmaid?” To which Maura responded: “You can be a bridesmaid Alison, for God’s sake.”
