Tasha Ghouri ‘real winner’ of Strictly as she’s set to make millions after show

Despite Chris McCausland taking home the Glitterball Trophy in a nail-biting finale on Saturday, Tasha Ghouri, 26, has been hailed as the ‘real winner’ of Strictly Come Dancing 2024. PR guru Kayley Cornelius predicts that Tasha will soon be inundated with media opportunities. Speaking to The Daily Star, Kayley said: “Tasha might just be the real winner of Strictly, thanks to her incredible marketability and ability to connect with a wide range of audiences. Her content, which centres on lifestyle, beauty, and fashion, makes her especially appealing to brands in those sectors – some of the biggest spenders in online advertising”

She added: “Appearing on Strictly Come Dancing is always a major PR move for any celebrity, but Tasha seems poised to benefit more than most. Since announcing her participation, her Instagram engagement has soared, nearly doubling her average interactions compared to before. With her large following and high engagement rate, brands are likely to pay top rates to work with her. Tasha could easily command a five-figure sum per sponsored post, and long-term collaborations could push her earnings into six figures-or even higher if she becomes the face of a brand.”

Kayley also speculated that Tasha will host a dating show featuring individuals who use sign language and is expected to make an appearance on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity, according to the publication.

Tasha Ghouri, who first opened up about her “superpower” hearing loss on Love Island in 2022, has since co-authored a novel titled Hits Different. The book is inspired by her own journey and features a protagonist with a cochlear implant who discovers love over the summer, reports the Mirror.

Following the Saturday night finale of Strictly Come Dancing, where comedian Chris, aged 47, and his partner Dianne Buswell, aged 35, triumphed to win the 2024 Glitterball Trophy, predictions are swirling that Tasha could be set for major success. Despite delivering stellar performances, including a Showdance to Benny Goodman’s Sing, Sing, Sing (With a Swing) and an American Smooth, both earning perfect scores from the judges, Tasha and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec couldn’t clinch the title.

They danced their hearts out to P!nk’s What About Us, securing 39 points, but ultimately, it was Chris and Dianne’s Couple’s Choice routine that won the day. Throughout the competition, Dianne has been commended for choreographing breathtaking routines that accommodate Chris’s blindness, ensuring his safety with every step.

The judges were notably touched by Chris’s heartfelt waltz to the Liverpool anthem You’ll Never Walk Alone, as well as the couple’s choice routine to John Lennon’s Instant Karma. Despite the joyous group hugs and moving speeches that resonated with many viewers, there was a feeling among some that Tasha and Aljaž might have been more deserving of the glitterball trophy this year.

While Chris’s performance brought judge Shirley Ballas to tears, others argued that Tasha was technically superior on the dance floor. One user wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Chris is the weakest of the 4 finalists. But he is the most deserving winner.”

Another added: “Tasha and Sarah should have won, they were much more sleek on the dance floor. But Chris is still a worthy winner.”
