Michelle Keegan, a familiar face on our telly, has graced us with her performances from Coronation Street to Brassic.
The starlet is now set to appear in the second series of BBC’s Ten Pound Poms, premiering on Sunday, 9 March. Michelle will be seen as Nurse Kate in the popular TV drama, which first hit our screens in May 2023.

Hailing from Stockport, 37 year old Michelle studied at the Manchester School of Acting. Before she shot to fame, she worked in retail and also as a check-in agent at Manchester Airport, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Her big break came in 2007 when she bagged the role of Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street, beating 900 other actresses. She remained on the soap for six years, with Tina then being dramatically killed off.
With her soap role having catapulted her into the limelight, Michelle’s acting career continued to soar after leaving Coronation Street.
She scored the lead role in BBC’s Our Girl and then bagged another major part in Sky’s Brassic. More recently, Michelle has been recognised for her role in Netflix’s Harlan Coben adaptation Fool Me Once, which dominated the streaming platform’s most-watched charts for weeks.
Aside from acting, Michelle has a massive following on social media, with 7.4 million people keeping up with her on Instagram. She’s the brains behind swimwear brand Orfila Bee and regularly drops her own fashion lines with online retailer Very.

Her love life has also frequently made the news over the years. She was once engaged to The Wanted’s Max George, but the pair called it quits a year after their 2011 engagement announcement.
In 2013, Michelle revealed she was engaged to TOWIE star Mark Wright after less than a year of dating. They tied the knot in a breathtaking ceremony in 2015.
Mark and Michelle have been candid about the pressures their careers have put on their marriage, including having to spend extended periods apart due to work commitments abroad. Mark used to work as a TV host in the US, while Michelle’s acting gigs have taken her to places like Australia and South Africa.

The celebrity couple have shared the journey of building their dream home in Essex on a shared Instagram account, having finished the renovation last year.
Michelle and Mark excitedly declared they’re waiting for the stork, revealing their first baby bundle is on the way with a delightful social media announcement in December.
Posing for a beachy picture, Michelle shared the heartwarming news, writing: “2025 is going to be a special one for us..”
