Another celebrity was sent home from The Masked Singer as Bush said their goodbyes on Saturday night’s semi-final. The show kicked off with the remaining five contestants: Bush, Dressed Crab, Wolf, Pufferfish, and Bear, all vying for a spot in the coveted final on Saturday 15 February.
After stellar performances, it was Bear who left first, unveiled as none other than rapper Example, followed by Bush who turned out to be EastEnders legend Natalie Cassidy. She wowed with renditions of ABBA’s Thank You For The Music and Lisa Loeb’s Stay. Overwhelmed with the experience, Natalie said, “It’s one of the best jobs I have ever done,” before delivering her final tune.

Only three stars are now left standing to unmask their identities in next week’s thrilling conclusion. Whoever takes the crown will join the ranks of former winners like Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud, soulful singer Joss Stone, Torn sensation Natalie Imbruglia, Busted heartthrob Charlie Simpson, and last year’s singing star from McFly, Danny Jones.
Danny, the King of the Jungle from the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, won the 2024 series of The Masked Singer, reports the Mirror. Dressed as Piranha, Danny couldn’t contain his joy upon winning, saying: “I’ve had the most amazing time, I can escape behind here and just be Piranha and sing these songs. I’ve learnt so much, I’m able to sing higher now just from being on this show. I am so happy, thank you!” He didn’t stop there, adding: “It feels surreal. Everything about this show and everything about what I’ve just done is completely surreal! I have become a Piranha, and no longer Danny Jones!”
He also opened up about the challenges of keeping his participation a secret, saying: “Very hard and even more so now I’ve won. It’s been really difficult because I get excited by stuff very easily and I’m all in when I do something. I’m meant to be on tour. It’s been very difficult, but that’s part of the fun, isn’t it?”
In an adorable moment post-show, Danny shared a heartwarming clip on Instagram showing his son Cooper Alf Jones’ reaction to the big reveal. Young Cooper was clueless that his dad was the one rocking out in the Piranha costume, and his astonishment was palpable.
In the video, Cooper excitedly yells, “It’s daddy! ” as Danny is unmasked, then leaps onto his chuckling father exclaiming, “It’s you, it’s you! ” Danny capped off the cute father-son interaction with a celebratory video of them chanting: “Champion, champion!”
Masked Singer enthusiasts are crossing their fingers for Danny’s comeback on the stage for next week’s finale. While he’s anticipated to grace the panel as a guest judge, fans have been buzzing on social media with theories that he might surprise everyone with a duet alongside one of the remaining celebs.
