Diags is one of TOWIE’s longest running cast-members, having joined the show back in 2012 as the best friend of iconic cast member Joey Essex.
In the decade, the reality TV star, whose real name is James Bennewith, has been involved in many of the dramatic storylines.
His close friendships with Joey, Tom Pearce, Dan Edgar and James ‘Arg’ Argent have all been featured on the show over the years as well as his turbulent love life.
The Only Way Is Essex is now making a return to our TV screens for a brand new series and it kicks off for Diags, as bombshell news sends shockwaves through Essex.

Diags and girlfriend Jodie have split up. During the break-up, Dan has been Diags’ rock and viewers will see his best mate give him some advice when they sits down for a heart to heart with Jodie.
The former couple, who were due to move in together, sparked rumours of a break-up last week when they unfollowed each other on social media.
Diags’ dating history
Towie fans will remember that Diags dated former cast member Fran Parman for three years, with most of their relationship playing out on-screen. Following their 2017 split, they were reunited in front of the cameras a few years later and things were seriously awkward.
In a more recent series, he sparked dating rumours with Love Island star Elma. He previously admitted he had a soft spot for Elma shortly after she joined the TOWIE cast.

At the time, the feeling was mutual and they pair even went on to share a kiss at Dan and Amber’s housewarming party but they never quite seemed to be able to take the next step and become an official item.
Most recently, the pair decided to call off their flirtationship after their huge row at the end of series 32.
What is Diags’ job outside of TOWIE?
When he’s not busy being a reality star, Diags is focused on running his family’s business. Plumb Point is a plumbers’ merchant and bathroom showroom based in Essex and is run by Diags and his brother Jack.

Diags’ transformation
Diags left fans stunned early in 2023 after unveiling a ‘hot’ transformation on Instagram. Enjoying a night out with two of his closest pals, Dan and James Lock, for a swanky meal in London, Lockie uploaded a picture of the three besties with the caption: “A man’s friendships are one of the best measures of his worth.”
Diags was looking better than ever and fans couldn’t help but comment: “Is that Diags?? He looks bloody well!!! Fair play x.” While another wrote: “Diags is looking bloody great! Also, time for you to get a haircut, Tarzan @jameslock__.” A third remarked: “Diags is actually looking hotter than Dan!”
